In February-May 2019, the price of hydrogen peroxide was rising. In June, the price of hydrogen peroxide fell by more than 20%, and it ushered in a big rise in August. However, in the first five months of 2020, hydrogen peroxide increased only 0.9% in January. It has been declining from February to May. Hydrogen peroxide in 2020 is abnormal compared with 2019, mainly because the downstream terminal of hydrogen peroxide is restricted in 2020, terminal papermaking and printing, the plate industry is in a slump, and the caprolactam market is weak. Only in the middle and late May, the terminal industry began to pick up gradually. In June, the paper industry's main enterprises of hexanoyl lactam concentrated purchases, and the hydrogen peroxide market continued to rise.
Terminal industry picked up, rigid demand supported, and hydrogen peroxide continued to strengthen
Starting in June, the price of corrugated paper ushered in three consecutive increases. On the 2nd, driven by the upward movement of the waste paper market, Jiulong Paper Co., Ltd. In Dongguan and Chongqing increased their prices of corrugated packaging paper collectively by 50 RMB/ton. In the following week, Lee & Man, Shanying and Liansheng rose strongly. Small and medium-sized paper companies have continued to rise, with an increase of 50-80 RMB/ton. The caprolactam and paper market rose sharply. The manufacturers began to prepare stocks, the purchase of hydrogen peroxide increased, and the prices rose steadily.
Hydrogen peroxide continued to rise due to tight supply
In mid-to-late June, some enterprises' hydrogen peroxide equipment was under maintenance. Hangzhou Mingxin Hydrogen Oxygen Co., Ltd. has been shut down for maintenance on the 16th, and Binhua will also carry out parking maintenance at the end of the month. Hydrogen peroxide terminal caprolactam manufacturers, thiourea dioxide customers, and paper industry purchase orders for hydrogen peroxide increased, supply was tight, hydrogen peroxide price factory prices continued to rise and rose for three consecutive weeks, weekly increase of 50-100 RMB/ton, as of the 18th, the average hydrogen peroxide market price exceeded 900 RMB/ton, an increase of over 18%.
Market outlook

In the short term, hydrogen peroxide prices will easily rise and difficultly fall.
