Analysis review

This week, the downstream inquiries increased and the market sentiment improved. With the continuous rise in the market price of raw material propylene, the cost continued to rise, coupled with the increasingly active trading, the focus of the acrylic acid market was steadily moving upward.

Upstream propylene, as of September 3, the propylene market in Shandong has seen an all-round rise. According to SunSirs, the price of propylene began to fluctuate in a narrow range after breaking through the cyclical fluctuation range at the beginning of last month, and the market fluctuation was small. However, since September 1st, the price of propylene has continued to rise across the board, and the upward range is getting bigger and bigger. On September 4th, it continues to go up by about 100 RMB/ton. The market transaction was between 7,150~7,400 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price was around 7,150 RMB/ton. Propylene manufacturers have smooth sales and no pressure on inventory.

Market outlook

According to the acrylic acid analyst of SunSirs, the price of raw material propylene has risen recently, and the cost is under pressure. The market has entered the peak season of "Golden September and Silver October", and buying momentum has gradually increased. It is expected that the acrylic acid market may stabilize and improve in the short term.
