Last week, some prices in China’s domestic rare earth market declined, heavy rare earth prices fell from a high level, and light rare earth prices temporarily stabilized. According to the rare earth sector index of the Business Society, the rare earth index on October 16 was 357 points, which was the same as yesterday. The highest point of 1,000 points (2011-12-06) was down 64.30%, and it was up 31.73% from the lowest point of 271 points on September 13, 2015. (Note: The period refers to 2011-12-01 till now).

As of the end of the week, the domestic rare earth neodymium praseodymium oxide price was 322,000 yuan/ton, which was the same as the early price of 322,000 yuan/ton; the price of praseodymium neodymium alloy was 409,000 yuan/ton, which was the same as the early price of 409,000 yuan/ton; The price of neodymium oxide is 347,000 yuan/ton, which is the same as the price of 347,000 yuan/ton at the beginning of the week; the price of neodymium metal is 433,000 yuan/ton, the price is stable this week, the price of praseodymium oxide is 322,500 yuan/ton, the price trend this week Stable; the price of praseodymium has been stable this week.

In the recent domestic light rare earths, mainly due to the inactive downstream procurement, strong wait-and-see attitude, reduced transaction volume, manufacturers' prices have lost support, some prices in the light rare earths market have remained low, and prices of other products have remained stable. Recently, permanent magnet manufacturers demand stocking In general, the price of praseodymium and neodymium rare earths is sluggish, and the market price of light rare earths is still at a low level. In addition, due to the impact of the epidemic on rare earth production and exports, overseas demand has not improved, and the recent domestic light rare earth market prices have maintained a downturn.

Last week, the price trend of domestic relatives declined slightly. As of the end of the week, the price of dysprosium oxide was 1.63 million yuan/ton, and the price trend fell 0.31% this week; the price of dysprosium ferroalloy was 1.62 million yuan/ton, and the price trend fell 1.62% this week. In the purchase and storage plan, medium and heavy rare earths account for a large proportion of the annual output, which is expected to have a greater impact on the supply, demand and price of medium and heavy rare earths. However, the information on purchasing and storage is uncertain. The current Myanmar customs seal still has a tightening effect on the domestic import supply of medium and heavy rare earths. But the downstream demand is not active recently, and the market price of heavy rare earths continues to fall. Recently, the market situation is general, and the price of heavy rare earths remains high. Downstream demand has not improved significantly, and the market price of heavy rare earths has fallen slightly.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the 'Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Implementation of Policies for Benefiting Enterprises in the Rare Earth Industry', stating that the Rare Earth Office entrusted the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and the China Rare Earth Industry Association to sort out and summarize the policy documents suitable for the declaration of rare earth enterprises, forming the 'Resumption of Work and Production in the Rare Earth Industry' Compilation of Related Support Policies. The policy is favorable to support the development of the rare earth industry. At the same time, Sino-US relations are tense. The key products of rare earth Sino-US trade are of great significance. National policies are conducive to the balance of supply and demand in the rare earth industry. Recently, the supply of rare earths in the rare earth market has been normal, and the demand has declined compared with the previous period. The domestic rare earth prices have dropped this week.

Recently, domestic demand for rare earths has dropped compared to before. In addition, downstream purchases are not active and the wait-and-see attitude is strong. Analysts at SunSirs predict that rare earth market prices may continue to fall in the later period.
