Price trend

According to data from SunSirs’ bulk list, as of January 12, the average price of ECH companies was 12,166.67 RMB/ton, a drop of 1.35% compared with the previous trading day, and down by 2.67% compared to last Tuesday (January 5) and up by 0.27% compared to December 12.

Analysis review  

Recently, the market price of ECH has fallen, accumulated inventory has increased, and demand has not been followed up. In addition, the buy-up and not-buy-down mentality has caused holders to sell under pressure. Low-priced goods are frequently available in the market. There is insufficient confidence in the market, the market sentiment is thin, and the trading maintains small orders just in need of follow-up, and the mood is cautious and wait-and-see.

Upstream propylene, on January 11, the market price of propylene in Shandong was generally stable. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the price of propylene fell all the way at the end of December, and began to rise on New Year's Day. It was raised by about 100 RMB/ton on the 4th. The price on the 5th and 6th was mainly stable. Only a few companies increased slightly. On the 8th, some prices declined, and on the 13th, the prices continued to be stable over the weekend. The market turnover was between 7,250 and 7,500 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price was still around 7,250 RMB/ton. The inventory of the manufacturers was normal and the sales were stable.

Downstream epoxy resins, the focus of liquid epoxy resin negotiations on January 12 rose, and the current downstream inquiries have increased. The factory has no inventory pressure for the time being. Holders have a price mentality, but the downstream just needs to follow up and are waiting and seeing.

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost support is limited, the downstream demand is not good, the manufacturer's shipment pressure still exists, the market supply exceeds demand, and the downstream stocking purchase mentality is cautious. It is expected that in the short term, the ECH market may operate weakly, and more attention should be paid to market news guidance.
