According to statistics from SunSirs, the seamless tube market dropped slightly this week. At the beginning of the week, the price of seamless tubes of 20#, 108*4.5 reported 5,120 RMB/ton, and at the weekend it was 5,050 RMB/ton, down 1.37% from the beginning of the week, down by 1.42% from the beginning of the week, and an increase of 13.33% year-on-year.

The price of raw tube billet fell

The main domestic pipe rings fell this week. Changzhou Dongfang’s ex-factory price for 20# hot-rolling was 5,030 RMB/ton, down 70 RMB/ton; Jiangxin’s billet fell by 100 RMB/ton, the ex-factory price of 20# hot-rolling was 4,500 RMB/ton.

Some seamless tube price of tube factory was up and some down

This week, the pipe factory prices will increase by 20-50 RMB/ton. Among them, 108*4.5 seamless tubes, Jinzhengyang 4,400 RMB/ton, Jinbaocheng 4,300 RMB/ton, Taizong 4,250 RMB/ton, Ruiganglian 4,250 RMB/ton, Meixin 4,230 RMB/ton.

The price of tube factory fluctuated, most of which were stable, and the ex-factory price of 108*4.5mm was 4,950-5,150 RMB/ton. The ex-factory price of Jinzhengyang seamless pipe was 4,980 RMB/ton; Meixin pipe was 5,000 RMB/ton; Jinbaocheng was 5,150 RMB/ton.

Seamless tube inventory

The operating rate of 200 production lines nationwide (including 40 long-flow steel pipe plants) was 61.3%, a decrease of 0.02 percentage points from last week (January 8). The total inventory was 652,000 tons, a decrease of 36,000 tons from last week, and a weekly decrease of 5.23%.

Market outlook

To sum up, the current market demand is not good and the tube billet price is weak. Due to the low operating rate and insufficient spot inventory, the tube factory has a strong willingness to uphold the price, and the overall price is mainly stable. Affected by the off-season, merchants are not very emotional about the operation of winter storage, and merchants have a wait-and-see attitude for the market outlook for the time being with a small amount of goods. The seamless tube are expected to be stable and weak before the Spring Festival.
