March 08 2021 13:12:21SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring of the bulk data of SunSirs, the dichloromethane market in Shandong increased slightly this week. The average price in Shandong at the beginning of the week was around 3,636.67 RMB/ton, and it rose to around 3,650.00 RMB/ton on weekends, a slight increase of 0.37% during the week.

Analysis review

This week, the overall start-up of the dichloromethane market in Shandong declined slightly, and the market supply was still tight. The overall start of Luxi Chemical Industry was not high, Shandong Jinling had a plan to reduce its negative load in March and Jinmao continued to stop, the overall supply in the region was tight, which supported the price of dichloromethane. The company had no inventory pressure, and the overall offer was firm. As of the 5th, the price of dichloromethane in Shandong was around 3,650 RMB/ton.

In the upstream market, due to the strong trend of higher crude oil futures, the methanol market quotations in various regions also rose slightly to varying degrees. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of methanol at the beginning of the week was 2,295 RMB/ton, and the price of methanol at the weekend was 2,335 RMB/ton, an overall increase of 1.71% during the week.

The price of refrigerants rose under the influence of high cost, and traders gradually returned to the market after the holiday to gradually stock up. Refrigerant shipments increased slightly compared with the previous period, but the overall situation was still flat, which had little support for dichloromethane.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the current supply of dichloromethane in Shandong is tight and there is no pressure on corporate inventories, and the downstream market starts slowly to recover. It is expected that dichloromethane will continue to rise steadily in the future.
