According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic sodium metabisulfite price was relatively stable this week. The average weekly price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite was 1,783.33 RMB/ton, and the average weekend price was 1,783.33 RMB/ton, with a zero increase or decrease.

Analysis review  

Entering March, the domestic soda ash and sulfur prices continued to run at a high level and the cost of raw materials continued to be high. Sodium metabisulfite manufacturers raised their ex-factory prices at the beginning of the month, driving the overall domestic sodium metabisulfite market price to rebound substantially. This week, the market price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite was in the range of 1,700-1,950 RMB/ton, and most prices were concentrated at 1,700-1,800 RMB/ton. The production of the enterprise was stable, and the inventory was maintained at about 30%. The enterprise mainly completed the orders of old customers, and the increase of new orders was limited.

As of March 19, domestic soda ash prices rose by 9.46% in March, sulfur prices rose by 8.5%, and the cost of upstream raw materials continued to rise. Under the support of costs, it is expected that the market price of sodium metabisulfite will continue to rise in the future.
