In the second half of April, PVC continued to rise, and repeatedly rose above 9,000 RMB/ ton, returning to a high level. Near the May Day holiday, the downstream stock is prepared before the festival, and the price of raw material calcium carbide continues to rise, so PVC is easy to rise but difficult to fall in the short term, and mainly runs at a high level.

In April, with the promotion of infrastructure construction, the building materials industry entered the peak consumption season, the rigid demand of glass, cement and other products including PVC increased, the starting load of PVC downstream profiles, pipes, membrane materials and other products enterprises gradually increased, the new orders increased, the demand was still good, and the upward support for PVC price gradually strengthened, but the high price transaction was still light.

In terms of spot price, the main quotation range of PVC5 calcium carbide in China is around 8,700-9,100 RMB/ ton. In Hangzhou area, the PVC5 calcium carbide is 9,000-9,200 RMB/ ton; that of in Changzhou area is 9,050-9,150 RMB/ ton; that of in Guangzhou is 9,000-9,150 RMB/ ton; Prices have risen in various markets.

According to PVC analysts of business news agency, the PVC market continued to rise in April, the demand in peak season was expected to be better, the futures price rose strongly, driving the spot trend. In addition, there were many stock preparation operations in the downstream before the holidays, manufacturers' inventory was not under pressure, and the price of raw material calcium carbide continued to rise. Therefore, PVC was easy to rise but difficult to fall in the short term, and mainly operated at a high level.
