On July 6, Shandong Aldehyde Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 30,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,700 RMB/ton, which was the same as the previous one. Linyi Shengyang Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 9,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,400-5,500 RMB/ton, which was the same as last time. Zibo Qixing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 10,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,900 RMB/ton, which was 100 RMB/ton lower than last time. Individual manufacturers were dragged down by the downward adjustment of raw material methanol, and the price of paraformaldehyde fell.

On July 7, the methanol futures of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange fluctuated at a low level. The main contract MA2109 closed at 2,562 RMB/ton in late trading, down 72 RMB/ton or 2.73% from the previous trading day's closing. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of July 7, the average price of domestic methanol from production enterprises in Shandong area was 2,540 RMB/ton, and the price fell 1.45% from the previous month.

Market outlook

The raw material methanol is weak, coupled with the general market demand for paraformaldehyde, the paraformaldehyde analyst of SunSirs predicts that the price of paraformaldehyde may be lowered.
