Price trend

The raw material pure benzene market fluctuated and adjusted, and the quotations of cyclohexanone companies were mostly stable and wait-and-see. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of August 10, the average domestic market price of cyclohexanone was 10,220 RMB/ton, the price fell 4.49% month-on-month and rose 78.26% year-on-year.

Analysis review

In terms of raw materials, in terms of pure benzene, Sinopec’s price of pure benzene was lowered by 150 RMB/ton to 7,550 RMB/ton, and all refineries under its subsidiaries was implemented uniformly from August 9. On the downstream side, Sinopec’s high-end CPL quotation was stable this week, at 14,700 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

Crude oil prices continued to fall, and Sinopec's pure benzene listing was once again reduced by 150 RMB/ton to 7,550 RMB/ton. The market mentality is mainly bearish. Cyclohexanone analysts of SunSirs predict that the short-term cyclohexanone market may decline in a narrow range.
