SunSirs: Demand Picked Up, and the Operating Rate of DOP Picked Up
September 08 2021 14:07:38SunSirs(John)

DOP prices fluctuated and fell in September

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the DOP price fluctuated and fell back on September 7. On September 7, the DOP price was 14,725.00 RMB/ton, which was a decrease of 0.08% from the 14,737.50 RMB/ton DOP price on September 1. The price of DOP fell in September, and the overall DOP market weakened and stabilized.

Downstream market picked up

It can be seen from the PVC price chart that the price of PVC has stopped falling and rebounded since August, and the PVC market continued its upward trend in September, which is positive for the DOP market. The traditional peak season for domestic demand "Golden September and Silver October" is coming, and demand has improved. However, due to multiple factors, the downstream demand has not improved significantly. The demand performance is relatively cold, and the PVC market is rising, which is positive for the DOP market.

Market summary and outlook

The DOP data analyst of SunSirs believes that the PVC market rebounded in September, and DOP demand has certain support for DOP market. Although the price of octanol dropped slightly, it remained high overall, and the price of raw materials dropped slightly, which is positive for the start of DOP. The DOP operating rate rebounded slightly in September, but it remained low overall. The advent of "Golden September and Silver October" has a certain positive stimulus to the DOP market. Although the overall trend is still stalemate, the operating rate of DOP has rebounded slightly, manufacturers sold at cut-price, and DOP prices may fluctuate to fall back in the future.
