SunSirs: The Price of Bromine Was Strong on September 26
September 27 2021 14:01:34SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the price of bromine has risen. On September 26, the market price of bromine was 47,187.5 RMB/ton, which was 55.56% higher than the same period last year. On September 25, the Bromine Commodity Index was 165.57, which was the same as previous day, setting a new historical high in the cycle, which was an increase of 181.01% from the lowest point of 58.92 on October 29, 2014. (Note: Period refers to 2011-09-01 to present)

Analysis review

Domestic bromine prices rose. Shandong enterprises reported 46,000-49,000 RMB/ton on the 26th, and bromine prices were running at a high level.

The production of bromine companies in Shandong declined because of the impact of precipitation. The production was still tight due to the impact of environmental protection policies. Although the downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine stopped production recently, the demand support was still acceptable. The demand was fair, and the price of bromine was raised.

Market outlook

SunSirs’ analysts believe that the overall supply of bromine has grown relatively slowly, but now the downstream flame retardant and intermediate industries of bromine still have support for bromine, and the demand for bromine is acceptable. It is comprehensively estimated that the price of bromine will continue to run at a high level in the short term, depending on the downstream market demand.
