Analysis review

The DMF market has declined slightly this week. Compared with the beginning of this week, the price has dropped by 1.99% and the mainstream price range was around 14,800 RMB/ton. The DMF market is in a weak downward trend. The current supply side is tight and the purchasing atmosphere is general. The overall market is in a weak consolidation stage. The upstream methanol is currently operating stably, with limited upside potential.

As of November 22, the average price of methanol from domestic manufacturers was 2,973 RMB/ton. The overall market transaction atmosphere is flat. At present, international oil prices have fallen sharply. Brent has fallen below 80 US dollars per barrel. Methanol futures are operating in shocks and the methanol market in the short term will be focused on consolidation.

On November 22, the chemical index was 1,173 points, a decrease of 15 points from previous day, a decrease of 16.21% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,400 points (2021-10-23), and an increase of 96.15% from the lowest point of 598 points on April 8, 2020.
