The price of ethylene glycol fell by 1.73% this week.

Analysis review

As of December 13, the total inventory of diethylene glycol in the main ports of East China was 35,400 tons, and the market was mainly cautious and wait-and-see. The diethylene glycol market in South China was running smoothly and the market price was running steadily. The downstream UPR operating rate of diethylene glycol is currently 36%, which is unchanged from last week.

The market price of glycol continued to fall this week. Due to the decline in ethylene glycol, the price of maleic anhydride rose, and the price of diethylene glycol was under pressure to lower the price. Downstream UPR factories were well-stocked and stocks continued to increase, which greatly reduced the demand for diethylene glycol.
