According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, the price of cryolite in Henan increased slightly this week. On December 10, the average market price in Henan was 7,275.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.04% from the price on the previous weekend and a month-on-month increase of 1.75%.

Analysis review

The domestic cryolite market is running steadily. At present, the supply of raw materials is stable, the prices are still relatively high, and the production cost of enterprises is relatively high. Coupled with the influence of winter heating, manufacturers have limited production and less output. Production pressure supports the continued high market. As of December 10, the ex-factory price of cryolite in Shandong was 7,000-7,600 RMB/ton, and the ex-factory price of cryolite in Henan was 6,700-8,600 RMB/ton.

In terms of raw materials, the soda ash market continued its weak downward trend this week. As of December 10, the average market price of soda ash was about 3,025 RMB/ton. The price fell by 5.47% during the week and increased by 106.34% from the same period last year. The price was still high, the operating rate of soda ash had been raised from last week, the output increased during the week, the supply of soda ash was stable, the downstream purchased on demand, and the market was generally trading.

In the downstream, the aluminum market fluctuated. On December 10, the aluminum price was 18,780.00 RMB/ton, which was a 0.50% increase during the week compared with last weekend’s price of 18,686.67 RMB/ton. The social inventory of aluminum declined slightly, the market demand increased, and the price of aluminum traded sideways, and the market was slightly bullish.

Market outlook

The domestic cryolite market is firm at a high level, raw material supply factors and winter heating limit production, the mentality of the insiders is optimistic, from the market supply point of view, the trend of cryolite in the short term will remain stable at a high level, and specific attention should be paid to the situation of upstream raw materials.
