On December 16, the spot nickel price dropped slightly, quoting 14,566.67 yuan/ton, a slight decrease of 0.04%% from the previous trading day, an increase of 13.53% from the beginning of the year, and a year-on-year increase of 10.19%.
The Federal Reserve's monetary policy tightening and Indonesia's new production capacity were put into production. Overnight Lun Nickel closed down 2.4%, a record low in more than two months; steel mills reduced production after losing profits and led to a decline in demand for raw materials. Downstream steel mills continue to report production cuts, and nickel-iron yields are under greater pressure. The production and sales of new energy vehicles hit new highs, but the production schedule of nickel sulfate declined due to poor production profits. Domestic inventories are low, and nickel is expected to fluctuate mainly in the short-term.
