According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the dichloromethane market rose slightly this week (1.7-1.14). As of January 14, the average price of dichloromethane in Shandong was 5,510 RMB/ton, up 1.85% from the price of 5,410 RMB/ton on last Friday.

Analysis review

According to the understanding of SunSirs, the domestic methane chloride construction dropped slightly this week, and the pressure on the supply side dropped. The Guangxi Jinyi’s unit was reduced to 50% of the load, and the Juhua’s unit was reduced to 3%, and the overall operating rate of the industry fell.

The price of raw material methanol fluctuated slightly this week, and the cost side was stable. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 14, the price of methanol was 2,382 RMB/ton, down 0.21% from last Friday's 2,387 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that due to the shutdown of the Iranian plant, the price of raw methanol will rebound in the later period, and the pressure on the supply side has eased, and the dichloromethane market is expected to rise slightly in the later period.
