According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of January 26, the average quotation price of acrylic acid in East China was 13,833.33 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.80% compared with the price on January 1, and a decrease of 27.45% in a three-month period.

Analysis review

The acrylic market rose in January. In the first ten days, the price of raw material propylene rose strongly, the cost support was strengthened, some installations were shut down, the spot supply in the market decreased, the downstream replenishment atmosphere was strong, and the export volume improved, supporting the price of acrylic acid to rise. In mid-January, the price of raw material propylene rose, and the cost support was obvious. The overall start-up load of the industry was low. The downstream was actively stocking up before the festival, and with the support of export orders, the price of acrylic acid rose steadily. In late January, the price of raw material propylene fell, the cost support weakened, but the tight supply supported the high market.

Upstream propylene, on January 26, the propylene (Shandong) market fell, and the price adjustment rate was smaller than that at the beginning of the week. The mainstream price of propylene in Shandong was 7,750-7,850 RMB/ton. As the Spring Festival is approaching, downstream production has been shut down one after another, or production has been reduced for holidays, and the propylene market has plummeted. The price fell rapidly from a high of 8,000 RMB/ton, and the demand support was weak. At the same time, the downstream stocking was basically completed, and the supply and demand situation will not change much in the near future.
