Price trend
According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of ternary live pigs at home and abroad rebounded slightly this week. The average price at the beginning of the week was 11.87 RMB/kg, and the average price at the weekend was 12.05 RMB/kg, up 1.52% during the week.
Analysis review
In late March, the competition between supply and demand in the live pig market continued to intensify. In some areas, the price of pigs fell to the 10 RMB/kg mark, which led to a full reluctance to sell and support the price, boosting the domestic live pig price to rebound slightly this week. On March 25, the average price of live pigs rose to 12.05 RMB/kg, down 2.82% from the price at the beginning of the month.
This week, the domestic corn price fluctuated at a high level, rising by 0.10% during the week, and the soybean meal price rose again, rising by 1.28% during the week. The cost of breeding and feeding continued to rise, the pig-grain ratio was still lower than 5:1, and the loss of breeding industry continued. The enthusiasm of farmers to supplement the stall continued to decline, and the overall pig inventory showed a slight downward trend.
Market outlook
The pig product analyst of SunSirs believes that: in general, the terminal demand continues to be sluggish, and it is difficult to support the rapid and comprehensive recovery of the pig price due to the high price. It is expected that the price of pigs will rebound slightly in the short term and then move forward again.
