Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, since April (4.1-4.11), the dichloromethane market has fallen first and then rose. As of April 11, the average price of dichloromethane (bulk) in Shandong was 4,700 RMB/ton, compared with the price of 4,875 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, fell 3.59%.

Analysis review

According to the understanding of SunSirs, the 380,000-ton/year methane chloride plant of Dongyue was shut down on April 9, and the Dawang’s plant was shut down since March. The overall start of domestic methane chloride plant fell slightly, and the pressure on the supply side eased.

In April, the price of raw material methanol fell again, and the cost support was weak. According to the understanding of SunSirs, as of April 11, the price of methanol was 2,890 RMB/ton, down 5.86% from the price of 3,070 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the current price of raw materials has fallen again, and the pressure on the supply side has eased. It is expected that dichloromethane will fluctuate and consolidate in the near future.
