April 18 2022 13:37:34SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of the morning of April 17, the average price of ECH from enterprises quoted was 18,900.00 RMB/ton, which was 0.18% lower than that of the previous Monday (April 11). The price fell by 1.90% month-on-month.

Analysis review

This week (4.11-4.17), the ECH market was running weakly. Recently, the raw material propylene market was consolidated and operated, the price of raw material glycerin was operating under high pressure, the cost support was limited, the downstream demand performance was not good, the replenishment was mainly based on just-in-needed, the shipment of goods holders was not smooth, the market mentality was under pressure, and the ECH market fell under pressure.

Upstream propylene, the propylene market was running in consolidation (4.11-4.15). According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic propylene (Shandong) market price fluctuated this week, and the price fell slightly. The average market price of propylene at the beginning of the week was 8,460 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 8,441 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.23%.

Downstream epoxy resin, on April 15, the reference price of epoxy resin was 25,450.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.64% compared with April 1 (25,875.00 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

The ECH analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost impact is limited, the supply side is expected to increase, the demand side is weak, and the supply and demand support is insufficient. It is expected that the ECH market may be mainly weak in the short term, and more attention should be paid to market news guidelines.
