Price trend

According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the chloroform market fell this week (4.11-4.18). As of April 18, the price of chloroform (bulk water) in Shandong was 5,712 RMB/ton, down 3.59% from the price of 5,925 RMB/ton on last Monday.

Analysis review

According to the knowledge of SunSirs, except for Dongyue, Jinling Dawang, and Fuqiang plants, which continue to stop, other domestic methane chloride plants are basically at a high level, and the supply is loose.

In April, the price of raw material methanol fell, and the cost support was weak. According to the understanding of SunSirs, as of April 18, the price of methanol was 2,805 RMB/ton, down 8.63% from the price of 3,070 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

The downstream refrigerant production and sales were sluggish, the factory start-up load was low, and the support for chloroform from demand side weakened.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the current downstream demand support for chloroform is weakening, and the price of raw material methanol has dropped sharply. It is expected that the price of chloroform may continue to weaken in the later period.
