According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the average production price of paraformaldehyde in Shandong on May 13 was 5,500 RMB/ton, and the average production price of paraformaldehyde in Shandong on May 9 was 5,566 RMB/ton, down 1.2%.

Analysis review

On May 13th, Linyi Shengyang Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 9,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, quoted a price of 5,500 RMB/ton including tax for paraformaldehyde (96), the price was the same as last week, and the market delivery was general. Shandong Formaldehyde Industry Chemical Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 30,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, quoted a price of 5,600 RMB/ton for paraformaldehyde (96), which was 200 RMB/ton lower than last week, and the price was affected by the decline of raw material prices. Zibo Qixing Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 10,000 tons of paraformaldehyde, and the ex-factory price of paraformaldehyde (96) including tax was 5,400 RMB/ton.

According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average price of domestic methanol of producers was 2,642 RMB/ton on May 13, and the average price of domestic methanol of producers on May 9 was 2,750 RMB/ton, down 3.91%. Formaldehyde fell 3.15% this week.

Market outlook

The raw material market is weakening, and the paraformaldehyde analyst of SunSirs expects that the paraformaldehyde may be lowered.
