According to the data of SunSirs, the chloroform market fell slightly in early June. As of June 10, the price of chloroform in bulk water in Shandong was 3,275 RMB/ton, down 2.24% from the price of 3,350 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Analysis review

Recently, the methane chloride plant of Luxi Chemical was operating at a reduced load, which had brought a certain stimulus to the market. However, the domestic methane chloride plant was still operating at a high level, and the supply pressure was still there. The downstream market demand was stable and weak.

In early June, the spot price of methanol rose slightly, and the cost side had support for chloroform. According to the understanding of SunSirs, as of June 10, the price of methanol was 2,657 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.53% from the price of 2,617 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

The production and sales volume of the downstream refrigerant market of chloroform shrunk, the price fell weakly, and the support for chloroform from demand side was weak.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs predicts that the imbalance between supply and demand will be difficult to change in the short term, but in the later period, with the arrival of the peak season of air conditioning, the demand for chloroform may stop falling and rise.
