Operation of nonferrous metals industry from January to may 2022

1、 The output of smelting products increased slightly. According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, the output of ten non-ferrous metals in China from January to May was 27.248 million tons, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year. Among them, the output of refined copper, lead and primary aluminum was 4.4 million tons, 2.999 million tons and 16.39 million tons respectively Million tons, with year-on-year growth of 3.2%, 3.6% and 0.3% respectively; Zinc output was 2.721 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%.

2、 The output of processed timber fluctuated. According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, the output of copper processing materials from January to May was 8.26 million tons, an increase of 0.1% year-on-year; Aluminum production was 24.519 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.7%.

3、 The prices of major varieties fluctuated at a high level. According to the data of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, in May, the average spot price of domestic copper was 71939 yuan / ton, a year-on-year decrease of 2.6%; The average spot price of aluminum was 20450 yuan / ton, up 6.4% year-on-year.

4、 The import volume of copper and aluminum ore increased rapidly. According to the data of the General Administration of customs, from January to may, the import volume of copper ore and its concentrate nationwide was 10.42 million tons, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year. From January to may, the import volume of aluminum ore and its concentrate in China was 55.75 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 23.7%.
