According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic price of sodium metabisulfite fell this week. The average price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 3,350.00 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 3,200.00 RMB/ton, an overall decrease of 4.48%.

Analysis review

Affected by the slight decline in raw material prices, in July, some sodium metabisulfite manufacturers lowered their ex-factory prices slightly, driving the overall weak operation of the domestic sodium metabisulfite market price. This week, the domestic industrial grade sodium metabisulfite market price range was 3,000-3,300 RMB/ton, and most prices were concentrated around 3,000-3,200 RMB/ton. Enterprise inventory was about 30%, mainly to complete the orders of old customers.

As of July 8, the domestic price of soda ash fell slightly by 0.34%, and the price of sulfur fell by 12.12% within the month. The price of upstream raw materials continued to be weak, the wait-and-see attitude of downstream trade entities increased, and the overall price of the domestic sodium metabisulfite market was weak under pressure.
