Price trend
According to the sample data monitored by SunSirs, from July 4 to 11, the domestic ethyl alcohol market continued to decline. At the beginning of the week, the average price of domestic ethyl alcohol from producers remained at 7,433 RMB/ton, and at the weekend, the price fell to 7,216 RMB/ton, a decrease of 2.91% during the week, a decrease of 3.35% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 4.78%.
Analysis review
The domestic ethyl alcohol market price continued to fall, and the real order transaction continued to be at low-end prices. The demand side had entered the off-season of liquor, and the chemical industry purchased just on demand, and the price was hard to see a positive boost in the short term.
In terms of raw materials, the domestic corn market was running stably, and the inventory was mainly consumed in the short term. It is expected that the equipment will be overhauled in mid-July, and the low price of raw materials will be difficult to bear the pressure.
In terms of downstream products, the high temperature period in summer is the off-season for downstream liquor, and the price of ethyl alcohol is not dominant at this stage, and the purchase of ethyl acetate on demand is basically maintained. In the chemical industry, there is no change in the ethyl acetate plant, and the main factories in Shandong are operating normally at full capacity, and the demand is stable in the short term.
Market outlook
Recently, the equipment has been intensively repaired, and the supply has been reduced in the short term. The cost support of raw materials for corn and cassava is weak and fluctuating downward. The factory is unable to bear the pressure of weak demand and ships at low prices. The downstream demand side has entered the off-season of liquor, and the chemical demand side has maintained rigid purchases. Small factories are difficult to bear the pressure, and low-end supply is frequent. SunSirs’ ethyl alcohol analysts predict that the domestic ethyl alcohol market may continue to fluctuate and decline in the short term.
