According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of July 15, the average quotation price of acrylic acid in East China was 10,666.67 RMB/ton, which was 5.88% lower than the price on Monday and 24.35% lower than the price on June 15. The price was down 21.95% in a three-month cycle.

Analysis review

The acrylic market fell this week. Recently, the raw material propylene market has been mainly organized, and the cost support was general. The operating rate of acrylic acid has decreased compared with the previous period, but the support for the market was limited. The main reason was that the performance of the demand side was weak, the transaction was mainly needed, the downstream procurement was cautious and mainly low-cost procurement, the market mentality was insufficient, and the acrylic acid market was under pressure and declined.

Upstream propylene, according to the monitoring data of SunSirs, on July 14, the reference price of propylene was 7,634.60 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.6% compared with the price on July 1 (7,680.60 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

The acrylic acid analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost support is limited, the supply support is general, and the lack of demand follow-up drags down the market.
