On August 2, the rare earth index was 734 points, a decrease of 22 points from previous day, a decrease of 27.11% from the highest point in the cycle of 1,007 points (2022-02-24), and an increase of 170.85% from the lowest point of 271 points on September 13, 2015. (Note: The cycle refers to 2011-12-01 to the present)

Analysis review

The domestic rare earth index fell sharply, and the domestic light rare earth praseodymium and neodymium prices fell sharply. The price of Pr-Nd Alloy fell by 15,000 RMB/ton to 955,000 RMB/ton, the price of praseodymium neodymium oxide fell by 17,500 RMB/ton to 772,500 RMB/ton, the price of neodymium oxide fell by 47,500 RMB/ton to 807,500 RMB/ton , the price of metal neodymium fell by 50,000 RMB/ton to 1.025 million RMB/ton, the price of metal praseodymium fell by 20,000 RMB/ton to 1.135 million RMB/ton, the price of praseodymium oxide fell by 32,500 RMB/ton to 822,500 RMB/ton, the price of terbium oxide was 13.9 million RMB/ton, the price of metal terbium was 17.6 million RMB/ton, the price of dysprosium oxide was 2.315 million RMB/ton, the price of dysprosium metal was 3.08 million RMB/ton, and the price of Dy-Fe Alloy was 2.31 million RMB/ton.

The domestic light rare earth market price dropped sharply, traders were generally active, and metal factories were cautious and followed up just on demand. The price trend of dysprosium series in the domestic heavy rare earth market was temporarily stable, and the price trend of terbium series was temporarily stable. Downstream was mainly on-demand procurement, and Myanmar has banned exports.

Market outlook

It is expected that the domestic rare earth market may decline in the later period.
