The average price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 3,033.33 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 2,783.33 RMB/ton, down 8.24% during the week.

Analysis review

Affected by the sharp decline in the cost of raw materials, in August, the company lowered the ex-factory price of sodium metabisulfite in an all-round way, driving the domestic market price of sodium metabisulfite to drop sharply at the beginning of the month. This week, the domestic industrial grade sodium metabisulfite market price range was 2,600-3,000 RMB/ton, and most prices were concentrated around 2,800 RMB/ton. Enterprise inventory was about 30%, and enterprises mainly completed orders from old customers.

In July, the domestic sulfur price dropped sharply, and the price of soda ash continued to be weak. Under the pressure of cost, the domestic market price of sodium metabisulfite continued to fall under pressure. In August, the price of sulfur rebounded slightly, the price of soda ash continued to be weak, the cost of raw materials was still low, and the cost will continue to suppress the market price of sodium metabisulfite in the future.

Market outlook
