September 19 2022 10:34:02SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic price of sodium metabisulfite remained steady at the bottom this week. The average price of industrial-grade sodium metabisulfite at the beginning of the week was 2,600.00 RMB/ton, and the average price at the weekend was 2,600.00 RMB/ton, which remained stable as a whole.

Analysis review

The overall performance of the sodium metabisulfite market this week is general. The market price of industrial grade sodium metabisulfite was 2,400-2,650 RMB/ton, and most prices were concentrated around 2,550 RMB/ton. Affected by the continuous low price of raw materials, the overall inventory of enterprises was low, and downstream customers had a strong wait-and-see attitude, and enterprises mainly completed orders from old customers.

From the beginning of September to the 16th, the price of soda ash rebounded slightly, rising 1.14% within the month. Sulfur prices continued to run low, down 1.72% in the month. On the whole, the price of raw materials is still at the bottom, and the cost price continues to fluctuate at the bottom. In the short term, the market price of sodium metabisulfite will recover and be under pressure.

Market outlook

The analysts of SunSirs believe that the price of upstream raw materials is weak and stable, and the trading entities are cautious in purchasing and selling. In the short term, the overall price of the domestic sodium metabisulfite market is in a dilemma, and the overall price will continue to remain at the current level and move forward steadily.
