As of October 14, the reference offer of PC sample enterprises of SunSirs was about 18,416.67 RMB/ton, down by 2.73% compared with the average price at the beginning of the month.

Analysis review

Industrial chain: In the upstream, the price of bisphenol A was high, and the downstream cost pressure increased. Before the festival, demand slowed down and prices fell slightly, but after the festival, the bisphenol A market fell sharply under the influence of various bad effects such as the overall decline of the industrial chain, bad supply and demand, and two consecutive declined auctions. In addition, the load of the industry increased, the upstream and downstream were weak and resonant, and the decline of the entire industrial chain intensified. From the market on the 16th, the demand side would still shrink in the short term, and the market confidence was seriously insufficient. In the short term, there is still room for bisphenol A to decline.

In the first half of October, the bisphenol A market declined significantly, and the PC cost side support turned from strong to weak. In terms of industry load, the operating rate of domestic PC enterprises declined recently, about 10% lower than that before the festival, and was generally stable at about 55%. The supply of goods on the site was still abundant, and the pressure at the supply side was slightly improved in the second half of the week. However, the downstream actual demand did not match the traditional peak season of "Silver October". The terminal enterprises purchased just to maintain production, and the PC digestion speed in the market decreased. The merchants were not able to sell goods smoothly, and they gradually gave up profits for sales. However, after the rise of PC, the acceptance of PC declined, which led to the decline of the factory price of PC manufacturers, and the price inversion occurred in some markets.

Market outlook

Analysts from SunSirs believe that the domestic PC market fell in the first half of October, the upstream bisphenol A market fell significantly, and the cost side support for PC collapsed. In terms of supply, there was ample supply of goods on the site. Two production lines needed to be overhauled within a week, and the pressure at the supply end was slightly relieved. The demand was weak, and the actual transactions were mainly scattered small orders. The current market supply tightening and cost drag coexist, and it is expected that the PC spot price will continue to follow the falls of upstream in the near future.
