SunSirs: Cost Rises, Egg Prices are Supported in China
December 06 2022 09:57:54SunSirs(Selena)

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the price of eggs was 11.38 RMB/kg at the beginning of last week, and 11.38 RMB/kg at the end of last week. The price was stable, with a year-on-year increase of 14.83%.

In terms of supply, the hot weather continued in July nationwide, which made it difficult to breed chicks. In addition, the feed cost was high, the enthusiasm of farmers to supplement the stock was low, and the sales of chick seedlings continued to decline. Therefore, the number of new laying hens in November continued to decline, and the supply level continued to be low. In terms of demand, with the weakening of egg prices in the middle of the year, there was a mood of bottom shopping in the trade sector, and the demand for goods increased. From the demand side, the overall demand in November was more favorable than that in previous years.

From the perspective of the stock, the overall stock kept at a low level, with a small number of newly opened laying hens; Breeding units selected the right time to eliminate old chickens, and in some areas, the number of chickens eliminated or recovered increased, but the increase was limited. The inventory in the production and circulation links increased slightly, and the overall pressure is not large temporarily.

It is in the low sales season, and the market lacks good news to boost it. It is expected that egg prices in China will tend to be volatile and weak in the short term.
