Analysis review
The price of potassium carbonate fell in March. As can be seen from the above figure, the recent potassium carbonate market has been volatile and consolidated for two consecutive months, and the market has started to decline this month. The raw material market continued to decline, downstream procurement remained in demand, market transactions were relatively quiet, and the price of potassium carbonate continued to decline. According to the statistics of SunSirs, the recent mainstream ex-factory quotation range of industrial grade potassium carbonate was around 8,800-9,100 RMB/ton (for reference only), and the quotation varied depending on the procurement situation.
In March, the quotations of mainstream domestic potassium chloride manufacturers fluctuated and fell: as of the 30th, the market sales price of domestic potassium chloride 60% crystal was about 3,200-3,500 RMB/ton. In terms of imported potassium, the price of imported 62% white potassium was mostly 3,300-3,500 RMB/ton, and the price of large particle red potassium was 3,500-3,600 RMB/ton. Border trade had seen the arrival of white potassium in succession, and the supply and sales of goods were slightly difficult. The surrounding manufacturers mainly purchased on demand, and the demand had significantly decreased. The price of 62% white potassium at ports was mostly 3,100-3,150 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
As of the 30th, the domestic potash fertilizer market was in a weak downward trend, with poor cost support. It is expected that the price of potassium carbonate will mainly decline in the short term, while the long-term market still needs to wait and see.
