According to the commodity analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic market of imported potassium chloride fell slightly this week, with the price falling from 2,775.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 2,750.00 RMB/ton at the end of the week, a decrease of 0.90%.

On July 10, the potassium chloride (import) commodity index was 87.30 points, unchanged from the previous day, 50.00% lower than the cycle's highest point of 174.60 (2022-06-21), and 49.87% higher than the lowest point of 58.25 on August 6, 2020. (Note: The cycle refers to the period from March 1st, 2012 to present)

Analysis review

The quotation of domestic mainstream potassium chloride dealers fell slightly this week: the potassium chloride distribution quotation of Youdeshi Xiangyang on the weekend was 2,900 RMB/ton, which was temporarily stable compared with that at the beginning of the week. The potassium chloride distribution quotation of Zibo Dehe at the weekend was 2,700 RMB/ton, which was temporarily stable compared with the quotation at the beginning of the week. Anhui Badou quoted 2,700 RMB/ton for the weekend potassium chloride price, which was temporarily stable compared with the beginning of the week. Shandong Xinkaisheng offered 2,700 RMB/ton of potassium chloride for distribution at the weekend, which was 100 RMB/ton lower than that at the beginning of the week. The arrival price of 60% white potassium in Qinghai was around 2,400 RMB/ton, and the self delivered price of 62% white potassium in ports was around 2,300-2,400 RMB/ton. The self delivered price of 60% bright red granules at the port was around 2,700-2,800 RMB/ton. Border trade accounted for 62% of Russian white potassium at around 2,200 RMB/ton. All had declined.

From the downstream market of potassium chloride, the price of potassium carbonate market fell slightly this week, from 7,700.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 7,580.00 RMB/ton at the end of the week, down 1.56%, and the price at the weekend fell 25.14% year on year. The price of potassium nitrate market rose slightly this week, from 5,425.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 5,525.00 RMB/ton at the weekend, up 1.84%, and the price at the weekend fell 26.70% year on year. On the whole, the downstream market of potassium chloride fluctuated with each other, and the downstream customers' demand for potassium chloride was average.

Market outlook

The overall trend of potassium chloride market in the middle and late July may fall in a narrow range, mainly finishing. SaltLake and Zangger potassium chloride prices were adjusted at a low level. The downstream market of potassium chloride fluctuated with each other. The downstream demand was general, and the purchase was mainly on demand. International potassium fertilizer prices continued to decline.
