SunSirs: The Price of Aniline Stabilized This Week (March 27-31)

April 03 2023 14:17:49     SunSirs (John)

Price trend

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, the price of aniline was relatively stable this week. On March 27, the market price of aniline was 13,000 RMB/ton, and on March 31, the price was 13,000 RMB/ton, maintaining a stable state compared to last week.

Analysis review

Pure benzene: On the 30th, the transaction atmosphere in East China turned pale, with the replenishment of contract customers basically completed, and the downstream inventory was sufficient. The wait-and-see atmosphere gradually rose. North South arbitrage closed, Shandong's demand performance was sluggish, the market weakened slightly, and transactions were poor. Crude oil strengthened overnight. The market is expected to open slightly higher and consolidate in the future. On Thursday (March 30), the price of pure benzene was at 7,140 RMB/ton, down 0.8% from last week and down 12.09% from the same period last year.

Nitric acid: The domestic price of nitric acid decreased slightly this week. On March 27th, the price was 2,483 RMB/ton, and on March 30th, the price was 2,467 RMB/ton. The price decreased by 4.73% compared to last week, and increased by 12.04% compared to the same period last year.

As of the 31st, the operating rate in the midstream and downstream was high, but there was a resistance to high priced raw materials. The aniline market lacked momentum for rise, maintaining a horizontal market pattern.

Market outlook

The logic of the aniline market fluctuation still lies in the supply and demand side. With the upcoming implementation of the planned overhaul in Jinling Chemical, the supply in the north will continue to enter a tight pattern. It is expected that the aniline market will be stronger next week, or there will be a trend of stabilizing prices.
