SunSirs: In the First Quarter of 2023, China's Steel Exports Increased by 53.2% Year-on-year
April 14 2023 11:01:22     According to data from the General Administration of Customs on April 13, China exported 7.89 million tons of steel in March 2023, an increase of 1.73 million tons from the previous month, or a month-on-month increase of 28.1%; the cumulative export of steel from January to March was 20.081 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 53.2%.
In March, China imported 682,000 tons of steel, an increase of 52,000 tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 8.3%; the cumulative import of steel from January to March was 1.913 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 40.5%.
In March, China imported 100.229 million tons of iron ore and its concentrate, an increase of 9.639 million tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 10.6%. The cumulative import of iron ore and its concentrate from January to March was 294.335 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.8%.
In March, China imported 41.165 million tons of coal and lignite, an increase of 11.995 million tons from the previous month, and a month-on-month increase of 41.1%. The cumulative import of coal and lignite from January to March was 101.80 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 96.1%.
