On September 8th, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow cardboard in Zhejiang Province was 1,532 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.65% compared to the average price of 1,542 RMB/ton on September 3rd. The price of corrugated paper is still rising. On September 8th, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 2,724 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.22% compared to the average price of 2,718 RMB/ton on September 3rd.

By observing market changes, it can be seen that last week the domestic waste paper market saw mixed ups and downs. Paper companies often adjusted prices flexibly based on their own situation, and the prices of waste paper in Zhejiang region showed a slight decline. Recently, with the low rebound and increase in waste paper prices, packaging stations in various regions have been actively shipping waste paper, resulting in a continuous increase in the arrival volume of waste paper from paper mills. Due to the high inventory of waste paper in some paper mills, there is a downward trend of waste paper to control the inventory situation of paper mills.

The price of corrugated base paper has continued to rise this week, and the current upward trend in the corrugated paper market continues. The nationwide price increase letter for base paper and paperboard is gradually emerging. On September 8th, Jiulong Paper Industry released another price increase, and other domestic paper mills also issued price increase notices, which played a positive role in the corrugated paper market. Price increases have become the main theme of the raw paper and cardboard market. But with the impact of a slight decline in waste paper prices, corrugated paper prices may temporarily remain stable and wait and see.

According to paper analysts from SunSirs, driven by the Mid Autumn and National Day holidays, the packaging paper market has entered a relatively peak season, with stable and slightly increasing market demand. Corrugated paper manufacturers are generally optimistic about the future market, and it is expected that the prices of waste paper and corrugated base paper may fluctuate and consolidate in the short term.
