Analysis review
The price of potassium carbonate had fallen this week. From the above chart, it can be seen that the potassium carbonate market had been mainly volatile and consolidating in the past three months, with a slight decline this week. The domestic market price of potassium chloride was at a relatively high level, and cost support was still acceptable. However, downstream demand remained weak, and the transaction volume in the potassium carbonate market was poor, resulting in a volatile downward trend in the market. According to statistics from SunSirs, the mainstream ex factory quotation range for industrial grade potassium carbonate in China this week was around 7,100-7,300 RMB/ton (for reference only), and the quotation varied depending on the procurement situation.
Recently, the domestic market for potassium chloride had been consolidating. The market price of 60% potassium chloride crystals in China was mostly between 2,300-2,390 RMB/ton, while the price of 57% powder potassium chloride for small factories in Qinghai was based on 2,050-2,150 RMB/ton; Border trade areas: 62% of Russian white potassium chloride prices were mostly between 2,150-2,200 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
Recently, some varieties of potassium chloride in the domestic market had been in a situation of no stock and no price. As of April 12, the market supply of goods was relatively concentrated, mostly in the hands of large traders, with a strong intention to raise prices. It is expected that the potassium carbonate market will mainly rise in the short term. The long-term market still needs to be watched.
