SunSirs: Tire Imports in the United States Increased by 22% Year-on-year in theFirst Quarter of 2024

According to the latest data from QinRex, a total of 68.36 million tires were imported into the United States in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 22% year-on-year. Among them, the import of passenger car tires increased by 16% year-on-year to 41.95 million pieces; The import of truck tires increased by 33% year-on-year to 15.26 million pieces; Aircraft tires decreased by 9% year-on-year to 75,000 tires; Motorcycle tires increased by 46% year-on-year to 780,000 tires; Bicycle tires decreased by 17% year-on-year to 1.31 million.

From January to March, the United States imported a total of 6.53 million tires from China, a year-on-year increase of 26%. Among them, the number of passenger car tires decreased by 27% year-on-year to 410,000; The number of tires on passenger cars decreased by 19% year-on-year to 460,000.

From January to March, the United States imported a total of 16.91 million tires from Thailand, a year-on-year increase of 55%. Among them, there were 10.42 million passenger car tires, an increase of 50% year-on-year; There were 4.65 million tires for passenger cars, an increase of 56% year-on-year.

Thailand and China are the main importers of tires from the United States.
