According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, as of May 11, 2024, the reference price of n-butanol in Shandong Province, China was 7,900 RMB/ton. Compared with May 5 (reference price of n-butanol was 7,833 RMB/ton), the price increased by 67 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.85%.

Analysis review

From the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, it can be seen that in the first week after the holiday, the n-butanol market in Shandong, China showed a slight increase and then remained stable. During the holiday period, the supply and demand of n-butanol were weak, and the overall market was operating quietly. After the holiday, some downstream small areas needed replenishment, and the focus of the n-butanol market slightly increased. Subsequently, from mid week to weekend, the n-butanol market remained stable and consolidated overall. As of May 11th, the domestic market price of n-butanol in Shandong region was around 7,850-7,950 RMB/ton.

Upstream: As entering May, the overall propylene market in Shandong, China has shown an upward trend. On May 10th, the reference price for propylene was 6,852.60 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.76% compared to May 1st (6,800.60 RMB/ton).

Market outlook

As of May 11th, the overall trading atmosphere of the domestic Shandong region's n-butanol market was light, and the supply and demand side was relatively quiet. Downstream users mainly purchased on demand.
