At the beginning of the month, the average market price was around 3,383.33 RMB/ton, and at the end of the month, the average market price was 3,350 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.99%, and a decrease of 1.47% compared to the same period last year. The market transaction price in South China was 3,350-3,450 RMB/ton, and the enthusiasm of enterprises to enter the market had been average recently.

According to monitoring data from SunSirs, the overall price of caustic soda stabilized in May. At the beginning of the month, the average price in the Shandong market was 790 RMB/ton, and at the end of the month, the average price in the Shandong market was around 792 RMB/ton. The overall price increased by 0.25%, and the price decreased by 11.8% compared to the same period last year. The price of caustic soda in Jiangsu region was temporarily stable, with a mainstream market quotation of 32% ion exchange membrane caustic soda at around 860-950 RMB/ton. The price of caustic soda in Shandong region was temporarily stable, with a mainstream market quotation of around 710-820 RMB/ton for 32% ion exchange membrane caustic soda.
Market outlook
