June 17 2024 11:16:15     SunSirs (Selena)On June 9, UPM group began to carry out the scheduled comprehensive shutdown maintenance (PGM) for its pulp mill in pasodelostoros, Uruguay, which lasted about two weeks. This will be the first comprehensive overhaul of the plant since it was put into operation in April 2023.
Maintenance downtime involves scheduled tasks that are performed regularly to optimize plant operations and ensure process efficiency. These tasks include activities such as equipment inspection, mechanical and electrical maintenance, and special welding. In order to achieve this goal, in addition to the regular employees of the factory, there will be about 1,500 workers to perform maintenance tasks.
