SunSirs: Safras Predicts a 6% Year-on-year Increase in Brazilian Cotton Exports for 2024/25
September 04 2024 10:05:05     SunSirs (John)Consulting firm Safras&Mercado has released a report stating that Brazil's cotton exports are expected to increase due to increased production.
The consulting firm expects Brazil's cotton exports to be 2.85 million tons in 2024/25 (August to July), an increase of 6% from the previous year's 2.68 million tons. Last year, Brazil became the world's leading cotton exporting country.
Analysts say that in 2024/25, cotton exports often face more intense external competition, especially with the United States, where cotton production is expected to increase this year and sales remain positive.
