September 04 2024 15:25:41     SunSirs (Selena)On September 3rd, the National Grain and Oil Information Center reported that the third quarter is usually the high-yield season for palm oil. According to the production area, palm oil production in Malaysia was generally smooth in August. Although there was increased rainfall in late August, it has not yet affected palm fruit harvesting.
According to SPPOMMA data, South Malaysia's palm oil production decreased by 0.88% month on month from August 1st to 25th, and it is expected that Malaysia's palm oil production in August will remain at a high level of around 1.85 million tons.
In terms of exports, ITS and other shipping investigation agencies monitored that Malaysia's palm oil exports in August decreased by nearly 10% month on month. Overall, with production remaining high and exports declining, it is expected that Malaysian palm oil inventories will stop declining and rebound in August, possibly increasing from 1.73 million tons at the end of July to over 1.8 million tons.
