SunSirs: Daily Topic of China Bulk Commodity Data (December 31, 2024)

On December 30th, the commodity price index BPI was 882 points, a decrease of 1 point from yesterday, a decrease of 34.33% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 33.64% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.

According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on December 30, 2024, there were a total of 25 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (6 in total) and the agricultural and sideline sector (5 in total). The top 3 commodities with the highest increase were dichloromethane (2.20%), dried shiitake mushrooms (1.55%), and WTI crude oil (1.41%). There were a total of 52 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (25 products) and non-ferrous metals (7 products). The top 3 products with the highest decline were n-propanol (-2.97%), pure benzene (-2.42%), and caustic soda (-1.55%).
