According to the monitoring of the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of corrugated paper has continued to operate steadily this week. On January 16, 2025, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated paper was 2,918 RMB/ton, which remained stable compared to the average price on January 12.

In terms of upstream raw materials: The price of waste paper in Zhejiang region slightly decreased this week, and the price of waste paper in domestic paper mills remained weak and stable. On January 16, 2025, the average purchase price of A-grade waste yellow board paper in Zhejiang region was 1,678 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.12% compared to the average price on January 12. This week, some paper mills in certain regions gradually announced plans to shut down during the Spring Festival. The paper mills have basically completed the replenishment of waste paper in the early stage, which has led to a recent decrease in market demand for waste paper. Most paper mills have maintained stable purchase prices for waste paper, while a few have lowered their prices.

In terms of supply: Currently, paper mills are gradually entering a state of Spring Festival shutdown, and market supply has narrowed. The large-scale paper mill has announced a Spring Festival shutdown plan, and the market supply is gradually decreasing, which provides some positive support for the market trend.

In terms of demand: Currently, the purchasing demand of paper packaging enterprises and the terminal market is declining, and the pre year stocking is basically coming to an end. The market maintains a state of essential procurement, so the market demand may continue to decline.
