In December 2024, China's methanol import volume was 1.1191 million tons, an increase of 3.13% compared to the previous month, with an average import price of 296.87 US dollars per ton, an increase of 1.22% compared to the previous month. The largest import volume from Iran is 226,400 tons, with an average import price of 291.75 US dollars per ton. The cumulative import volume of methanol in China from January to December 2024 was 13.4944 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.27%.
In December 2024, China's methanol export volume was 5,300 tons, a decrease of 91.03% compared to the previous month. The average export price was 328.20 US dollars per ton, an increase of 0.26% compared to the previous month. The cumulative export volume of methanol in China from January to December 2024 was 157,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.29%.
