SunSirs: MPOC Predicts Tight Palm Oil Storage in Malaysia in February

February 19 2025 14:56:29     SunSirs (Selena)

According to the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), despite a 13% decline in palm oil exports in January and a 133% surge in imports from Indonesia, the number of palm oil depots in Malaysia remained at 1.58 million tons in January 2025, the lowest level in 21 months.

Looking ahead, MPOC believes that palm oil inventories in Malaysia are unlikely to improve in February, as there are only 28 days in February and production and exports typically decline, while consumption before Ramadan will remain stable.
