On August 19, the average purchase price of grade a waste yellow board paper in Zhejiang was 2,096 RMB/ ton, an increase of 1.26% compared with the average price at the beginning of the week (the average market purchase price on August 14 was 2,070 RMB/ ton). The price of corrugated paper increased slightly. On August 19, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 3,354 RMB/ ton, up 0.3% compared with the average price at the beginning of the week (on August 14, the average ex factory price of 140g corrugated base paper was 3,344 RMB/ ton).

According to the observation of market changes, the purchase price of domestic waste paper in Zhejiang continued to rise last week, but the domestic waste paper price changes and the number of paper mills gradually decreased, most of which were stable. At present, from the perspective of supply and demand and cost, the supply and demand of base paper are seriously unbalanced, the demand of downstream terminals is sluggish for a long time, the sales of base paper is off-season, the stock of the paper factory is high, and the shutdown letters of the paper factory are frequently sent to limit production and maintain value. In addition, the price of waste paper fell to a low point in the early stage, the packaging station was not active in shipping, and the amount of waste paper delivered to the factory decreased.

In terms of the price of corrugated base paper, the price of corrugated paper slightly increased last week. Recently, the market has shown an overall stable and partially upward trend. The price of waste paper is on the high side, and the cost side provides strong support for the price of paper. Some paper mills have strong willingness to support the price, which makes the price of corrugated paper rise slightly.

According to SunSirs paper analysts, the price changes of waste paper and corrugated paper are relatively stable at present. Due to the continuous shutdown of paper mills and no obvious release of terminal orders, the rise of market prices still faces certain resistance. It is expected that the short-term price of waste paper and corrugated paper will fluctuate in China.
